I am beginning my 23rd year in education. I have taught all grade levels of English from grades 7-12, but my most experience and one I most enjoy is teaching high school.
I received my bachelor's degree in English from Austin Peay State University as well as a master's degree in English from APSU. I went on to earn a master's degree in educational leadership and a master's degree in library information science, both from Trevecca Nazarene University. I completed my educational specialist degree in educational technology from the University of Missouri.
Besides teaching at West Creek High, I teach as an adjunct professor at Hopkinsville Community College. I teach both English 101 and English 102 online sections.
In addition to being certified to teach English, I am also certified to teach history and government, and to be a library media specialist, all of which I have done in my career.
I have been married to my wonderful wife for 20 years and have two children, ages 19 and 15. My 19-year old daughter attends the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and my son attends Clarksville High School.
